General Keyboarding Tips
Some of you will come in being able to type 10wpm using only 2 fingers. Some of you will know how to type 30+wpm because
of prior experience/training. Some of you will struggle the first couple weeks with keyboarding. It doesn't matter how much
you already knew, or how little, coming into the class. My focus is that you all commit to improving day by day, week by week.
1. Start slowly. Don't worry about speed when you are first learning which fingers key what letters/numbers.
2.
Do your best to use correct keyboarding techniques. Your hands, back, wrists, and fingers will thank you later!
3.
Take a break if your eyes are hurting. Use the time between lessons or games to look at anything other than the monitor. Do
some wrist exercises to relieve strain.
Make a concerted effort to always improve and you will.
